This small holiday town reached its fullest flower in the end of the 19th century, during the times of kaiserin Elisabeth. At that time many of the Rich and Famous visited Bad Gastein to arrange their thoughts and "clean blood". Nowadays Bad Gasten still is famous for its underground thermal springs and healing radon caves, combined with the potentialities for adventure holiday and almost 200km long ski-runs this makes the resort splendid and unique. The closest cities to Bad Gastein are Salzburg - 95 km, Munich - 250 km, Klagenfurt - 130 km, Innsbruck - 180 km. Hotel*** "NUSSDORFERHOF" is situated in the southern part of Bad Gastein, 500 m away from the Stubnerkogel ski lift, which can deliver you to the height of 2246 metres, where both a skier and a snowboarder, as well as a mogul skier will find its run. Other places of importance for visitors, such as thermal pool complex "FELSENTHERME", town centre and the railroad station are situated 500-600 metres away from the hotel. 4 km away from Bad Gastein is Sportgastein, where at the height of 2690 metres one can ski up to the end of April.
